The Eclipse Story

A name carried forward from Milligans' flour heritage.

The Eclipse name dates back to Milligans original flour mill in Ngapara, where Milligans Eclipse Flour was sold throughout New Zealand for more than a hundred years. As the business diversified into dairy and cheese, Eclipse came with it.

In 2026 we consolidated Eclipse Dairy and Eclipse Cheese into a single brand. Today, Eclipse covers everyday staples of New Zealand pantries and foodservice kitchens - milk powders, butter, ghee and cheese.

Milk Powders

Eclipse Milk Powder allows for convenience while keeping the fresh-milk taste consumers enjoy.

Butter & Ghee

Eclipse Butter comes salted and unsalted. Eclipse Ghee has a high smoke point for browning and caramelisation.

  • Butter: 227g salted and unsalted
  • Ghee: 250ml, 750ml, 9kg, 210kg

Cheese

Blocks, slices, grated cheeses and commercial blends.

  • Blocks: Colby, Edam, Mild, Tasty
  • Slices: Colby, Edam, Swiss, Tasty

Manufactured in Oamaru.

All Eclipse products are manufactured at our Oamaru facilities to MPI Dairy registered standards. FSSC 22000 certified.
